Charminster Pre-school building in association with Magna Housing Associations Ltd and other partnered companies provided a new pre-school facility. All labour and materials were supplied free of charge.

The old school building is next to the SEC Asbestos Decontamination Unit.

Here we see the erection and completion of the sealed enclosure in which operatives remove asbestos insulation board under controlled conditions. By using fibre suppression techniques the fibre levels within the enclosure are reduced to a minimum, therefore reducing exposure to asbestos fibre for our operatives.

With all the asbestos safely removed and transported from the site, the whole old structure was demolished by SEC and the new building erected. SEC then installed new UPVC soffit, fascia, gutter and downpipes.

The new pre-school was officially re-opened on October 16th 2006 by TV celebrity chef Lesley Walters whose son used to attend the school.
